Make your voice heard at the Decatur Terrace Small Area Plan Public Meeting! With this plan, DeKalb seeks input on preserving neighborhood character, guiding new development, addressing infrastructure improvements, and more. Join us Thursday, June 4, from 5:30-7:30pm at the DeKalb County Government Service Center, 178 Sams Street, Decatur, GA 30030. Parking is available and pedestrians can access the building using the gate on the East Decatur Greenway. Please allow time for building security.

We’re inviting DeKalb residents of every age and background to help design bold, meaningful art posts that reflect what peace, justice, and resilience look like in today’s world.

This is your chance to talk, paint, imagine, and create alongside neighbors while exploring how communities stay strong in times of war, division, and economic uncertainty. Your artwork will become part of the Compassion Corridor this summer — a living reminder that hope is built together.

The movement continues. In our second workshop, we dive deeper into the conversations that matter — justice, unity, compassion, and what it means to stand together when the world feels unsteady.

You’ll help decorate towering art posts that will line the Compassion Corridor, each one carrying the colors, symbols, and messages created by everyday DeKalb residents. This is hands‑on creativity with purpose: a chance to express your truth, listen to others, and build something that will inspire thousands who walk the trail.

Whether you joined us last time or you’re stepping in for the first time, your voice belongs here. Let’s keep the momentum alive.

Get ready to turn trash into triumph again! Join the No More Liddering Workshop, an upbeat, hands‑on creative experience where participants of all ages transform recycled bottle caps into a vibrant community art piece.

Inspired by No More Liddering’s mission of “transforming waste to wonder,” this workshop invites everyone to jump in, get messy, and make something extraordinary from what most people toss away. Every cap you place helps spark conversations about sustainability, creativity, and caring for our shared spaces.

The finished artwork will be installed this June along the Compassion Corridor, a two‑mile stretch of the Stone Mountain Path Trail — meaning your creativity will brighten the path for thousands of neighbors and visitors.

Welcome to the DeKalb County 2026 Juneteenth Festival! Join us for a day of celebration at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center. Experience live music, delicious food, cultural performances, and more as we come together to honor the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrate freedom. Don’t miss this special event commemorating an important moment in history. We look forward to seeing you there!
