The Georgia Department of Transportation is currently developing the I-285 Top End Express Lanes system that will impact the entire northern half of I-285.
GDOT initially launched a Request for Information (RFI) on March 1, 2024 for this comprehensive project that will incorporate two, barrier-separated, dedicated express lanes in both direction between I-20 intersections. A Peach Pass will be required to use these lanes, and transit operators will have access to the express lanes as a multi-modal option.
