(9/21) Community Canvassing: Avondale Estates Curbside Composting Pilot

Join Commissioner Ted Terry, the Super District 6 Team, and local DeKalb Green New Dealers to knock on doors and let residents of Avondale Estates know that they can participate in a free curbside compost collection program to divert food scraps from landfills and create compost for local programs.

This pilot program is a great opportunity to show the success of a curbside pick up program and the opportunity for composting to expand throughout all of DeKalb County. Never canvassed before? No worries! We’ll meet early to train volunteers and debrief at the Lost Druid after. You do not need to be a city of Avondale Estates resident to volunteer to canvas and get out the word.
